ICT-Pact: Joining forces towards circular and fair ICT

June 14th, 2021 - Today seven countries are signing the international Circular and Fair ICT Pact. The signatories commit to working together in making laptops and smartphones more circular and fair through procurement. The Dutch Minister for the Environment, Stientje van Veldhoven has initiated the pact. Belgium is co-lead.

CFIT announced in WCEF+Climate Action Statement

April 16 - During the WCEF+Climate conference participants commited to launch the Circular and Fair ICT Pact (CFIT) under the UN One Planet Network SPP Programme, building an international partnership of ICT procurers to accelerate the transition to circular and fair ICT.

International launch of the Pact

The Circular and Fair ICT Pact (CFIT) will be launched on June 14th. Participants in this new international partnership will use their collective procurement power to accelerate the transition towards a circular and fair ICT sector in close dialogue with the ICT industry and other relevant actors.
