CFIT Framework for Circular and Fair ICT Procurement
A CFIT working group has outlined what Circular and Fair Procurement of ICT means to its participants. Besides defining ambitions around four core themes, the working group also discussed key strategies for procuring organizations to work towards these ambitions. The strategies are:
- Buy less, Buy better, Use better, Use longer.
For each strategy, commitments have been formulated, which CFIT participants will consider as part of their procurement strategies.

CFIT Mini Guide: Practical Strategies for Carbon-Conscious ICT Procurement
The CFIT Pact is set up out of the belief that through sustainable public procurement of ICT, public organizations can accelerate circularity, fairness and sustainability in the ICT sector. This Mini Guide explains how you can adopt carbon-conscious procurement practices throughout the different stages of the CFIT procurement cycle. This helps to reduce your organization's carbon impact and it supports further innovation toward low-carbon and circular solutions in the ICT sector.

Exploration of potential mandatory GPP criteria for ICT products in EU legislation
The research was carried out by Viegand Maagøe, an international consultancy with expertise in sustainability, based in both Brussels and Denmark. This project was led by Felice Alfiere, who previously worked at the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission.

Austria: naBe platform
The Austrian naBe platform provides a wide set of resources for sustainable public procurement. Detailed information is available in German, with high level English translations.
Belgium
Federal Government: The Belgian federal government, FIDO, provides a guide for sustainable public procurement in both French and Dutch. Under "office" ('kantoor' or 'bureau') guidance is provided for ICT products among other categories.
Flanders region: The Flanders government has launched their SPP Criteriatool in 2024 under the name MVOO Criteriatool.

Norway
Norwegion Government agency DFO publishes a criteria tool online (in Norwegian), which includes criteria for ICT equipment.
The Netherlands
The Netherlands developed its MVI criteria tool in both Dutch and English. It includes, among many other product categories, criteria for sustainable public procurement of ICT.
