Ireland joins the Circular and Fair ICT (CFIT) Pact, highlighting its sustainable ICT procurement strategy through a new case study on remanufactured laptops, supporting its goals of reducing electronic waste and promoting circular economy practices.

The City of Malmö has joined the Circular and Fair ICT (CFIT) Pact, strengthening its commitment to sustainable public procurement. Known for its progressive purchasing policies, Malmö will now collaborate with other CFIT participants to promote sustainable and fair practices within the ICT sector.

PAHO has officially joined the Circular and Fair ICT Pact (CFIT), following its commitment at COP28. This partnership strengthens PAHO's efforts to promote sustainability and reduce the environmental impact of its ICT procurement, supporting digital health systems and operations across 27 countries. Through CFIT, PAHO aims to adopt best practices for responsible and circular ICT use, reinforcing its dedication to sustainable development.

It has been one year since the launch of the 𝐂𝐅𝐈𝐓 𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤, a versatile guide for circular and fair ICT procurement. Diverging from a one-size-fits-all approach, this framework empowers CFIT participants to align their strategies with specific national and organizational priorities.

The Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat joins CFIT as a coordinating and procuring participant, aligning with the Government of Canada's commitment to environmental responsibility and modernized service delivery, fostering international collaboration to advance sustainable IT practices and contribute to the global dialogue on green procurement.

The Global Electronics Council (GEC) has joined CFIT as a supporting organization, bringing its deep understanding of the electronics value chain, sustainability impacts of ICT products, and procurement expertise to actively contribute to collective efforts in fostering sustainability within the industry.

Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) engages in promoting sustainable ICT practices, expressing intent to join the Circular and Fair ICT Pact.
