SKI, Denmark, joins CFIT as a procuring participant
CFIT welcomes Staten og Kommunernes Indkøbsservice A/S (SKI) as a new procuring participant. SKI is Denmark’s central public procurement organization, jointly owned by the Danish State and Local Government Denmark. It supports public institutions in coordinating procurement through framework agreements that consolidate the purchase of goods, services, and ICT across all levels of government.
SKI represented by Adam Goslett, Benn Hee Gad, Katrine Pape Huldahl, William Biørnstad (FLTR)
Each year, the Danish public sector purchases goods and services worth around DKK 424 billion (approximately EUR 57 billion). SKI manages about three percent of this total on behalf of more than thousand public organizations. Around two-thirds of SKI’s activities focus on ICT, reflecting its experience in managing complex contracts and delivering digital solutions for the public sector.
Sustainability is a central part of SKI’s work. Its framework agreements include requirements to reduce environmental impact, improve resource efficiency, and strengthen social and ethical standards throughout supply chains. These measures enable public institutions to translate Denmark’s sustainability ambitions into concrete procurement practices.
By joining CFIT, SKI becomes part of a coordinated international effort to make the ICT sector more sustainable. CFIT participants align procurement strategies, share practical approaches, and engage with suppliers to encourage circular, fair, and responsible practices. Individually, procurers have limited influence on global suppliers, but collectively, CFIT participants can generate sufficient demand to drive sustainable practices from niche initiatives toward mainstream adoption.
