ECPAR joins CFIT as a Supporting Organization
Espace de concertation sur les pratiques d’approvisionnement responsable (ECPAR) has joined the Circular & Fair ICT (CFIT) Pact as a Supporting Organization.
Based in Québec, Canada, ECPAR is a unique network of more than 75 organizations working on responsible procurement and sustainable supply chains. Over the past 15 years, it has supported more than 100 organizations across the public, private and institutional sectors in developing and applying responsible procurement practices.
That experience connects closely with CFIT’s work. Supporting Organizations bring strong expertise, practical experience and networks that help inform the Pact’s work and add perspectives alongside those of coordinating and procuring participants.
ECPAR’s strength lies in helping organizations put responsible procurement into practice. Its expertise in sustainable supply chains, implementation and supplier engagement is relevant to many of the questions CFIT is working on in ICT procurement. Its predominantly francophone network also broadens the range of organizations and procurement experience connected to the Pact.
Directeur général Alexandre Huet explains ECPAR’s decision to join CFIT as a Supporting Organization:"We believe that collaboration is essential to driving continuous improvement in sustainability across the ICT sector. The demand for circular and fair ICT products that can be generated by CFIT participants is important in driving greater circularity throughout the ICT value chain. We therefore look forward to contributing to the success of the CFIT Pact as a Supporting Organization."
With ECPAR on board, CFIT gains further expertise in responsible procurement and sustainable supply chains, together with practical experience of how these ambitions can be applied across different organizations and procurement settings.
