CFIT's first Mini Guide out now: Practical strategies for carbon-conscious ICT procurement

Many (public) organizations have set climate targets. Did you develop a strategy for reducing your ICT landscape's carbon impacts? This guide, focusing on ICT hardware, may help! It provides practical, step-by-step strategies for driving meaningful action at every stage of the CFIT procurement cycle: pre-tender, tender, and post-tender. In doing so, you cannot only contribute to global climate goals, but also improve resource efficiency and achieve significant cost savings.

Together, we can shape a low-carbon, circular, and fair ICT future! You may wonder why should we? According to the World Bank, the ICT sector is responsible for approximately 1.4% to 4% of global GHG emissions. Projections indicate that by 2040 this may rise to 14%. You might agree that we have no choice but to do our best to try and change this scenario!

This CFIT mini guide was developed in partnership with John Watt, CFIT participants and our supporting organizations, including TCO Development and the Global Electronics Council. Thanks for all of your contributions!
